»Love, Death + Robots« is a collection of animated shorts streaming on Netflix since 2019, presented by Tim Miller and David Fincher.
Volume 4 delivers ten bold new stories that continue to redefine what animated storytelling can be, blending live-action, stylized CG and more tilt-shift insanity.
As a matte painter, collaborating with Blur Studio for one of the most successful shows on Netflix has been a surreal experience.
My role was to create immersive environments for Episode 3 – »Spider Rose« (directed by Jennifer Yuh Nelson), not only to enhance the narrative but also resonate with the emotional weight of the story. It’s exhilarating to see my paintings come to life, transforming into dynamic backdrops that serve as characters in their own right.
To me, »Love, Death + Robots« isn’t just any project; it’s a celebration of creativity, blending the beauty of art with the complexity of human (and alien) emotions. I can't wait for audiences to experience the world we've crafted together – each frame is a labor of love, death ... and everything in between.
